निगोड़ी शाम आए तो कलेजा बैठ जाता है
कोई पैग़ाम आए तो कलेजा बैठ जाता है
सभी यह चाहते हैं कि सुकूँ हो ज़िन्दगी में, पर
मुझे आराम आए तो कलेजा बैठ जाता है
किसी के नाम से आए तो चिट्ठी फाड़ देता हूँ
मगर बेनाम आए तो कलेजा बैठ जाता है
भले बिछड़े हुए हमको महीनों हो गए लेकिन
तुम्हारा नाम आए तो कलेजा बैठ जाता है
“परीक्षा ज़िन्दगी की क्लास में हर रोज़ देता हूँ”
मगर परिणाम आए तो कलेजा बैठ जाता है,
